Celebrity Traitors UK S2E9

That was a really interesting game! I think the hard part was that the Traitors are not actually that good -- they all buckled as soon as there was heat on them. I think if they had turned the accusations back on their accuser, they could turn 1 or 2 votes, and they would leave the night at 3 vs 4, so they'd go to breakfast 3 vs 3. And it's just a really hard game for the Faithful after that -- maybe down to a coin flip.

I think the hard part about tonight was the story of what happened offscreen -- that one of the players had a panic attack during filming. That definitely makes me feel ambiguous about watching the game; am I somehow responsible for that person's painful episode?

@evan@cosocial.ca What is the source for the 'panic attack'? I'm sorry but I'm a little more cynical. The traitors were going to win hands down. The Faithfulls identified all three traitors as 'most trusted'. I strongly suspect the producers exerted pressure on that one traitor to confess his sins to, at least, inject some interest and jeopardy into the final climatic episode.

@andyc I absolutely agree that it was heading to a snooze fest. If they had gone into the finals with parity or even a majority, it's all over. The only suspense is if they'd turn on each other, which seems unlikely if they're playing for charity.

@evan@cosocial.ca I love the fact that a Canadian is loving a UK reality game show. Enjoy the final episode tonight !

@andyc also, I have loved playing #Werewolf/#Mafia since I learned it at #FooCamp. I've run Werewolf games for years in Montreal. So this show is right up my alley!

@andyc we have a Quebec version that I love. With the Netherlands version, it's the only one in the world where you're more likely to win as a Faithful than as a Traitor. I think that says something about us.

@evan@cosocial.ca Yes. While it's just a 'game show' and the celebrity spin-off is all for charity, I like the psychological elements.

@andyc @evan@cosocial.ca You may already be aware but I can recommend watching 'Traitors Uncloaked' (short 30 min follow-up show) as this interviews banished/murdered folk. It's entertaining, particularly when they show them the real identities of the traitors.
