@jonbeckett@mastodon.online is one of my longest standing and favourite bloggers.
He lives in the UK, worked in IT, adopted three girls and spends a lot of time unloading the dishwasher.
He recently took the big step of resigning from his job to focus on producing YouTube videos and content for flight simulation enthusiasts (after testing the water for 8 years).
Good luck in your next adventure, Jonathan !

God. Now I can't use Linux, I can't use Firefox. I can't use this. I can't use that. I think I be using Lynx on NetBSD before too long !
@andyc Hmm. That bsd.network instance appears to be running a patched version of Mastodon (3.5.19+iceage). Given Mastodon latest version is 4.7.3, that sounds pretty old (and potentially insecure).
Hmm. I am unable to follow Claudiom@bsd.network from #LittleFedi and monitor his non stop meals and grilling activities.
No irony at all here from Roy Keane who criticised his team mates after a 4-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.
Man Utd a circus after Martinez comments

Everything is working fine. What could possibly go wrong. Knowing me, everything. Religiously taking backups of my configuration files for LittleFedi, GoToSocial and snac.
Namecheap
- DNS configuration for each domain
Linux servers
- /etc/caddy/Caddyfile
LittleFedi
- littlefedi.toml
- /etc/littlefedi.env
- littlfedi backups (stored on server but need local copies)
snac
- snac/server.json
GoToSocial
- config.yaml (1700 lines !)
@jac@404brain.boo Thanks. I'll add this info to the my private issue tracker. Not hugely important but I suspect the #LittleFedi team might be curious about the versions deployed out there.
Lisandro Martinez cleverly engineering his exit from United in January. Athough he's stating the bleeding obvious, maybe he should look inwardly at his own performances.
#LittleFedi doesn't appear to always correctly report the version number for connected LitttleFedi instances. For example, this instance was successfully updated to 26.10.13 on 13 October.

...but the LF Admin interface still reports 26.10.01 despite a successful connection on 14 October.
@lori@cambrian.social @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe @chrism@social.nfbsd.dev @justine@snac.smithies.me.uk #LittleFedi works perfectly with both snac and GoToSocial. I have all three working - vanilla OOTB installations on Linux (Ubuntu) with Caddy acting as reverse proxy.
Tusky still unreliable. Shame.
Tusky on my Samsung S21 toy phone and Galaxy A11 tablet seems to be working perfectly with the latest #LittleFedi release. Refresh on demand was the issue previously. Thanks to the development team.
Testing Tusky on Android with #LittleFedi after the latest release. Seems to pull updates. We'll see.
@JigsawPieces@mastodon.social Oh sorry. We had some weird problem when some radiators would get warm/hot - even when the central heating was turned off. Not just the towel rail in the bathroom which now ironically is the only radiator which used to be scalding hot but is now obstinately stone cold. Go figure.
@jac@404brain.boo Typical developer error message. What does 'tombstone' mean to an end-user' ? Obviously, it should read:-
Sorry - the 'billy' username has already been used and he is currently in purgatory awaiting trial.
I use the Remmina SSH client on Linux. I had a very irritating problem when garbled characters got inserted when invoking 'vi'. This was great as it forced me to use #emacs. The solution was simply to create an empty '~/.vimrc' file.
